Joint Pain

Joint pain is something we see (and treat!) all the time—so you’re in the right place. One of our go-to techniques is called joint mobilization, a hands-on approach that helps relieve pain, improve mobility, and get you moving more comfortably. Think of it as giving your joints a little guided nudge in the right direction so you can walk, bend, and move with less stiffness and more ease.

Different Ways to Get Those Joints Moving

There’s more than one way to mobilize a joint, and many of these techniques have unique names inspired by the clinicians who created them. Some examples you might hear us talk about include:

  • IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization): Using tools to target tight tissues.
  • Mulligan Manual Therapy: Hands-on movement to restore function.
  • Neural Tension Mobilization: Gentle techniques to help nerves glide and move freely.
  • Graded Mobilizations: Slow, controlled joint movements at varying levels.
  • Muscle Energy Techniques: Patient actively contracts a muscle while therapist provides a controlled counterforce. After the contraction, the muscle is allowed to relax and is then gently stretched into a new range of motion.

Your Health, Your Plan

We believe in personalized care—meaning we’ll take the time to evaluate your needs and design a plan just for you. Joint mobilization or manipulation might be part of that plan, or we might pair it with other therapies to get you the best results. The bottom line? We’re here to help you move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing the things you love.
